This project formed part of the borough’s broader initiative to enhance community health and wellbeing. The existing concrete-framed structure was fully transformed to accommodate 24 modern consultation rooms, training spaces, and various facilities for clinicians including GPs and pharmacists.
Works included the creation of new treatment rooms, offices, and community areas; installation of three steel staircases; full mechanical and electrical systems to HTM standards; and the addition of nurse call systems and specialist services. Bespoke reception desks, internal wall artwork, and full decorations—including flooring, painting, and carpentry—were also delivered.
A new lift and an acoustically insulated external plant enclosure were installed, and all works were carried out in accordance with BREEAM ‘Very Good’.
Notably, the development received a ‘Secured by Design’ commercial award for its incorporation of effective crime prevention strategies, reflecting both its technical quality and commitment to community safety.
