Essential renovations set over five floors, transforming a vital youth facility into a more sustainable and accessible space.

Following the award of a Youth Investment Fund grant, Tokko has expanded its capacity to support an additional 100 young people each week. The redevelopment focused on enhancing safety, accessibility, and engagement. A redesigned reception area now features a secure entry system, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both young people and staff.

A new Digital Hub offers access to laptops, large screens, gaming consoles, and other digital tools, promoting creativity and digital literacy. The modern, fully accessible kitchen provides a dedicated space for young people to develop culinary skills, ensuring inclusivity for all users.

An underused area has been transformed into a gym, encouraging physical wellbeing and offering a space for schools and partner organisations.

Additionally, the roof terrace has been reimagined as a green space with city views. It offers a place for reflection, creativity, and environmental awareness, addressing the town’s shortage of accessible outdoor areas.
