Internal and external fire risk assessment improvement works, including replacement doors and PCVu cladding.

Located on an estate that includes green spaces, garage blocks, and car parking areas, this traditionally constructed five-storey building features masonry external walls, concrete floors in the common areas, and a pitched roof. The block consists of 56 purpose-built flats, divided across seven separate stairwells, with eight flats accessed from each entrance. The top-floor units are maisonettes, extending across the third and fourth floors.

The scope of our work included replacing all flat entrance doors and landlord services cupboard doors, as well as upgrading loft access hatches. Internal areas received full redecoration, along with the installation of new fire signage. Externally, we replaced the timber balcony handrails and the PVCu cladding as part of the Contractor’s Design Portion.

Additional works included the installation of a new fire alarm system and comprehensive fire compartmentation upgrades to ensure the building met current safety standards.

Borras are a great company to work with. Friendly and accommodating work force from top to bottom. We would like to work with Borras again. They have been invited to tender on other projects. This is on the back of Morley Grove.
