Project Value

£1,400,000

Comprehensive refurbishment and the implementation of enhanced external security measures to support the development of a new chemical enhancement laboratory.

Located at the Essex Police Headquarters, our works took place on the first-floor of the main building, which began with the demolition and strip out of redundant fabric and MEP services. The newly refurbished areas now accommodate a state-of-the-art fingerprint hub facility, staff rest areas, meeting rooms, sanitary facilities and locker space.

Due to the nature of the site, security was a key part of the projects design. Our works to support this included the construction of a new, secure perimeter fence, in addition to new motorised vehicle and pedestrian gates complete with access control.

A large portion of the MEP works were delivered under contractors design, which included the fire alarm, mechanical works to existing services, ventilation systems and cooling.
