Borras Construction is committed to minimising the impact of our business operations on the environment and the communities in which we work.

We are an ESG-compliant company with an understanding of our direct and indirect energy consumption and subsequent emissions, our use and disposal of resources and the impact of our work on habitats.

Carbon Neutral Management

We are dedicated to achieving our Net Zero targets by 2040, working closely with our clients and suppliers. Our comprehensive sustainability strategy, “Road to Net Zero,” commits us to reach Net Zero for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2040, and for our Scope 3 emissions by 2045.

Our Sustainability Steering Group regularly meets to ensure we maintain momentum and assess our progress towards these Net Zero goals.

We adhere to ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management) and follow a Sustainable and Ethical Procurement Policy. We have established strong processes to monitor our performance and the impact of our actions on the environment, employee welfare, the local community, and global resources.

As part of the University of Hertfordshire’s Net Zero and Sustainability Consultancy Project (funded by the Regional Innovation Fund, Research England), we have implemented a comprehensive Carbon Neutral Management System (CNMS) framework aligned with PAS2060 and ISO14068 standards.
