The pavilion was designed to serve local residents by offering a space for community gatherings, sports, social activities, volunteering, and private events. The building includes a multi-purpose hall, changing rooms, and storage to support the adjacent sports pitches.
Architecturally, the pavilion was designed to reflect the character of surrounding properties, using red and buff brickwork, pitched tiled roofs, and PPC aluminium composite windows and doors. The structure is divided into two main sections: a community area centred around a large vaulted hall, supported by a steel frame, and a separate wing housing modern changing facilities.
The scheme also features a large, floodlit car park with 110 spaces, including 12 accessible bays and EV charging infrastructure. A portion of the parking is permeable, directing runoff to a detention basin that also supports local biodiversity.
